Caprese is an Italian classic. Its popularity is partly owed to its own color block, which reminds the colors of the Italian flag. I don’t know what the author build his recipe on, the flag or taste combinations, but the result is really great.

That’s so easy, cook so fast and combined traditional Italian ingredients: tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella.

You need to know a few nuances for an ideal caprese.

The tomatoes need to be ripe, juicy, and tasty. The hothouse sort of tomatoes not gonna fit, it’ll definitely affect the final taste. If you can’t get the good ones or it’s not a season, use cherry.

Only the first cold-pressed olive oil and the best one you can afford. Use large sea salt or ideally- Fleur de Sel. Only freshly grounded black pepper, not packaged ones.
