We are used to the fact that radishes do not require any heat treatment. We eat it fresh, we use it fresh in salads. We want some kind of variety. Recently I published a recipe for Korean pickled radishes, and today I suggest baking radishes in the oven.
Ingredients
- 300 g (10,6 oz) radishes
- 1 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1-2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 5 g (0,2 oz) salt
Step by step Directions
Preheat the oven to 180 °C / 350 °F, mode top – bottom.
Wash the radishes, scrubbing them with a brush if necessary to remove the dirt. Cut off the tails, leave the small radishes intact, and cut the large ones in half. Place in a bowl.
Add 1-2 tbsp vegetable oil (I used olive oil), 1 tsp oregano, granulated garlic and dried onion to the radishes, salt and stir.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the radishes. Spread them out so they are not touching each other.
Bake in the oven at 180 °C / 350 °F for about 30 minutes, until soft and golden.
Serve with yogurt, sour cream, or tzatziki sauce.
